April Meeting

Next Meeting: April 18th at 8:00 in the Media Center
 
This month, we’ll be making necklaces and earrings! We're asking for each craft club member to make a $5 donation to cover the cost of materials. You can put your money in a money envelope and drop it in one of the black boxes.

These necklaces by Foundling on Etsy are our inspiration pieces.



Option 1: Cabochon Earring Supplies
If we get enough donations, all supplies will be provided. 
If you have sensitive ears or need clip-on earrings, you'll need to provide your own posts.

Option 2: Glass Frame Necklaces
If we get enough donations, all basic supplies will be provided.
Some old books will be provided, but if you have a specific word, phrase, or initial you want to use, bring it with you.
You'll need your own chain and any beads you'd like to use.


IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!
If you'd like to participate in the April craft, I'll need to know in advance. I'll be ordering the supplies and will need your donation as soon as possible. If you are able to contribute $5 towards supplies, please place it in a money envelope and deposit it in one of the black boxes. If you are unable to donate, but would like to participate, please let me know privately and we'll make arrangements.

March Craft Projects

Next Meeting: March 21st at 8:00 in the Media Center
 
This month, we’ll be crafting with shapes. Your options are: Glitter Art or Magazine Strip Art


Here are some pictures to get your creative juices flowing.


Option 1: Glitter Art Supplies
1. Glitter
2. I have card stock, but if you'd like to mount your design on something else, like foam board, decorative paper, or poster board, you should bring that with you.
3. A print out of the design you'd like to create (or the file on a USB flash drive)
Scissors and glue will be provided. 

Option 2: Magazine Strip Art Supplies
1. Magazines you can cut up (I have a few)

February Craft Club Supply List




Join us on Valentine's Day to make a sweet craft!

Project #1-Button Heart Canvas

You’ll need:
  • A canvas (square will work best for this)
  • Assorted colorful buttons (the larger your canvas, the more buttons you’ll need)
  • Optional-paint (if you’d like to paint your canvas, you should do that before your bring it in. You probably won’t have time for it to dry at the club meeting)
We’ll provide:
  • Glue


Project #2-Pink Lemonade Hand Scrub

You’ll need:
  • Small jar (I’ve seen these 4 oz jelly jars at Hobby Lobby and JoAnns for under $2 each) 
  • Optional-ribbon to decorate your jars

We'll provide:
  • Sugar
  • Oil
  • Lemon juice
  • Pink lemonade packets

February Meeting?

So, what do you ladies want to do for our February craft? 


Since our meeting is ON Valentine's Day, do you want to do something with a love/heart theme or branch out and do something completely different?

January Meeting (a re-do of December's meeting)

Well, I got my tonsils removed in December, so that meeting just didn't happen. So, come to our January meeting to make the December crafts and help plan out our February and March projects!

You don't need to bring any supplies, I'll provide them.

December Projects

'Tis the Season to be Crafty!
Next Meeting, December 13th at 8:00 in the Media Center
 
This month, we’ll be creating gift-worthy crafts! Your options are: The Fabric Pop-Pom Pen (great teacher gift!) or you can try your hand at more t-shirt crafting with the T-shirt Necklace or you could always make more Headbands now that we figured out that taping them to the bookcase/wall is waaaaaay easier!
Don't forget to sign up on the bulletin board across from the Media Center by December 11th!
